Information About the CXC and GCSE Mathematics Past Papers

CXC stands for Caribbean Examination Council, established in 1972. There are two levels of exams offered by CXC. One is CSEC for those students who have passed their secondary school five years back and the second one is CAPE for those students who have recently completed their secondary school education. CSEC is equal to O-Levels and CAPE is equal to A-Levels. English and Mathematics are the two obligatory subjects.

In the exam of Mathematics, two papers are included. Paper 1 contains 60 MCQs and paper 2 contains 10 problems. All the questions are compulsory to do in paper 1. Paper 2 contains two sections. The first section includes 8 problems and you have to solve all the problems. The next section contains 3 problems of which you are supposed to do 2.
